Emberville Platforms: PC Only at Launch, No PS5 or Xbox Yet
Emberville launches on PC only. No PS5, Xbox or Switch version is announced, and Steam Deck compatibility is still unrated by Valve.
Straight answer: PC only at launch.
The October 27, 2026 Early Access build arrives on Steam and GOG. No console version.
PS5, Xbox and Switch have no announced plans. The only thing the studio has said on the record is a wish to bring the game to Xbox or PlayStation “down the road”.

One inconsistency worth flagging: Steam’s platform flags mark Linux as supported, while GOG’s FAQ says the game is “officially supported on Windows”. Both statements are reported here rather than reconciled.
What the studio has actually said about consoles
In the August 2025 Q&A, the team explained their controller work: from early on they designed controller UI for people playing on a console or a Steam Deck, and the interface switches to a dedicated layout when a gamepad connects.
In that same answer came the phrase “later down the road on Xbox or PlayStation or whatever have you”.
The distance in that sentence matters. It expresses intent, not a plan. No confirmed platforms, no window, no technical detail.
What controller and handheld players can expect
These are the relevant entries on the store page:

The studio also said the game will release on Steam Deck and called it “perfect” there. But note: that’s the developer’s own description, not a Valve rating. As of September 19, 2026 the Steam Deck compatibility field on the store page still reads Unknown.
How to follow console news
If a console version is greenlit, it will get its own store page and an official announcement. Two places to watch: the Steam news hub and the official YouTube channel.
Console rumours recycled by aggregator sites are not plans until a matching official page exists.
